it’s so weird to be living 5 minutes from a pinkberry store! gotta love it. 🙂
i tried the new chocolate flavor yogurt at pinkberry. very very rich. great with fruit. i got a medium size with mochi, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries. medium size is great for original flavor. with chocolate flavor, i couldn’t and didn’t want to finish it. weird for me not to finish frozen yogurt but chocolate flavor is way to rich to eat a lot of. next time getting original flavor in medium. 🙂 yum! can’t wait.
latest frozen yogurt place i tried out is a new place in boston called “chill.” it was actually closest thing to pinkberry you can find in boston area. fruit – totally fresh and they had mango! tried a flavored yogurt with candy bar. think fro-yo tastes best with fresh fruit and mochi. chill did not have mochi, unfortunately. don’t think they carry it at all. 😦
unless you can make a weekly trip to NYC, which is not impossible i must say, chill is the best thing that happened to fro-yo lovers in boston area!
pictures of the bestest ramen place in tokyo! sorry – no picture of the ramen b/c i was too busy eating. 🙂
we also went to the bestest curry udon place the next day. we met up with our nephew and we were too busy trying to win him over that i didn’t take pictures of the place or the food. i had the best tonkatsu curry udon ever! my nephew is really cute. he’s three years old but this is only my second time seeing him. he only speaks japanese so we had to win him over with super mario brothers. hehe
i didn’t eat all three! smoothest frozen yogurt i ever tasted. inside decor was not as nice as pinkberry in koreatown in nyc. toppings were not fresh (they were canned fruit!) and the taste of the frozen yogurt itself was nothing to write home about. oh well.
lotteworld adventure (location of redmango that i went to) – maybe other locations have better ambience? i didn’t take a picture of the inside of the redmango store i went to b/c it just looked like a fast food store!
i am visiting my parents in seoul korea. the one thing i was looking forward to, other than seeing my family, was to try frozen yogurt at redmango (the original frozen yogurt that started pinkberry which then started other frozen yogurt stores across u.s.). i went to their website www.redmango.co.kr and tried to find the nearest store.
1. to search for a redmango in your neighborhood, you have to type in korean which is a pain for me since i hardly type in korea and can’t type in korean using my own computer anyhow.
2. when you look up an area, it either tells you the list the stores in that neighborhood or tells you no store exists in that neighborhood. why on earth would they not list nearby stores even outside of the specified neighborhood?
3. so next i typed in other neighborhoods i know of. (which i realize if you are a tourist, would have no idea what other neighborhoods to type in, if you knew how to type in korean and had access to a keyboard/program that let’s you write in korean.) that worked. but then the stores only had phone numbers, not addresses!
4. next i tried to leave a comment about the website and found that you can’t leave a suggestion unless you are a member. and you can only become a member if you are a korean citizen who has a citizen number! all that to say, for such a well known store, a store that i have heard of so many times, is kind of behind the times when it comes to marketing/website up-keeping!!! so i either have to mail in my comments about their website or fax it in. and guess what? my parents got rid of their fax machine!!!
hopefully later tonight, i can find one of the stores. i’ll have to call the store and ask for directions!!!
